Well, we took off for Stone Mountain to fish the East Prong of the Roaring River and it was GREAT to say the least. I started ot at the old church in the park and within the next hour and a half I had about 8 fish on the board. All of them where rainbows and brookies.
Nice 10" brook trout from the East Prong
Following the church stretch of the river, we tried a spot I have always caught good numbers of fish, and after tying on 5x tippet and a San Juan Worm, I managed to entice this hefty 'bow into grabbing my offering. He put on quite a show, as he jumped out of the water and then hugged the bottom for the remainder of the fight.
The fish of the day...A 15" rainbow
Fishing the "Old church stretch" (Willow Creek Baptist Church)
All in all one of the best trips I've had in a while. Plenty of fish, nice weather, and the crowds where not that bad.

Nice fish and it sounds like a cracker of a trip. I am a bit jealous to say the least. Also no photography.
Cheers
Hello tyler How are you? You always manage to catch several fish wherever you go. I am very delighted to see this wonderful chrystal water. I have only seen few waters like that in Spain. We cannot fish yet so the only thing I can do is only see what you do there.
Greetings.Fernando.
Fish Wisperer,
Yeah, it was nice to get out and fish a little.
Chagua,
It took a lot of casting and digging through my fly box for the right fly...Finally found what was working and I was able to land a few. I hope the season opens over in Spain soon...you need to get out on the water...I know how you feel...I haven't been able to get out on the river a lot this Winter either.
Tyler, THFF
Nice report Tyler. Glad you were able to get out during the beautiful weekend.
