I fish size 6 and 8 bass poppers, so I need a rod that has the proper action to cast these bigger flies (and is under $150). I'd appreciate any thoughts on this comparison.

Thanks for the excellent review,
JohnJohn Castellothttp://sackler.tufts.edu/Academics/Degree-Programs/PhD-Programs/Faculty-Research-Pages/John-Castellot.aspxnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3645277547301651315.post-35317506931305755362011-04-13T13:24:21.335-04:002011-04-13T13:24:21.335-04:00Bill,

Looking forward to testing the TQR in warmwater soon.

Alan,

Highly recommend it. Like I mentioned, TFO (especially the Lefty Kreh Finesse) rods and the TQR are both fantastic.Tyler Legghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05969341382871432087noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3645277547301651315.post-46948992990280537322011-04-13T06:11:40.370-04:002011-04-13T06:11:40.370-04:00Tyler,

This rod would be excellent for some of the small pockets in the backs of the nooks. I do fish a Temple Fork 3 wt. which is extremely light, but after looking at the desription of this rod I am thinking it is lighter. This may be an early Christmas gift.
